If you are headed to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, then you will want to visit one of the many arcades on the Parkway. Gorjian Acquisitions, new landlord of The Shops of Pigeon Forge, announced the addition of three distinctive businesses at the shopping center to increase foot traffic.
The shopping plaza currently houses a 'Dukes of Hazzard' attraction, a deli and various retailers.
Jordan Gorjian, spokesperson for Gorjian Acquisitions, told Knox News that the center will add an ax throwing concept, a gaming cafe and a Christian counseling service by this fall.
The largest of the three additions is an unnamed ax throwing range and bar. Customers can try their hand at ax throwing, order from the pub-style bar and enjoy hot pizza. The business will be located between Dollar Tree and Burlington in a 6,000-square-foot space.
TTT Gaming Cafe will offer a place for kids to play video games in an arcade setting while their parents shop. Gorjian said the cafe will be located in a 2,000-square-foot space inside the outlets.
'We often look at retail as a place where we shop, but this will not be your ordinary shopping,' Gorjian told Knox News. 'Yes, this is The Shops of Pigeon Forge, but we look at it more as a complementary idea to the amusement parks and entertainment in the area.'
The last addition to the center will be Life Changers Outreach, a residential ministry program. Life Changers Outreach has another location at 202 Sugar Hollow Road in Pigeon Forge. Its second location will be housed in a large downstairs suite of The Shops of Pigeon Forge.
