Genetics, (from Ancient Greek γενετικός genetikos, “genitive” and that from γένεσις genesis, “origin”), a discipline of biology, is the science of heredity and variation in living organisms. The fact that living things inherit traits from their parents has been used since prehistoric times to improve crop plants and animals through selective breeding. We would like to show you a description here but the site won’t allow us. GENETIC SCIENCE LEARNING CENTER Breed pigeons for desired traits while learning the basic laws of inheritance. Choose pigeons with the right genotype, and breed them to yield offspring with a specified phenotype in 26 puzzles of increasing complexity. (Note: Hitting the back arrow in the browser will navigate you out of the game. The game also includes a smooth and relaxing lounge jazz track, completely benign in every way. (Generally, I'm not too fond of background music.) The genetic concepts taught are not only generally essential, the specific information relating to pigeon genetics is 100% applicable to reality. The pie gene is a one of the co dominate gene and more dominated than grizzle that will express it self if the bird carries it. It is not a recessive gene. Meaning if a parent carries it, sure it will pass it down to its offspring. Some people refer pie bird as a splash in homing pigeon and roller breeders refer them as piebald in roller pigeon.
